Rawsam Human Rights Center Continues Field Activities to Promote Human Rights and Support Educational Institutions in Iraq

The Rawsam Human Rights Center, an organization in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), continues its field activities aimed at promoting human rights principles and monitoring the conditions of educational and service institutions in Iraq.

In this context, a delegation from the Center, headed by Dr. Raafat Al-Babli, President of the Center, conducted a visit to the University of Kufa. The delegation included:

  • Dr. Mahdi Al-Khalidi – Chairperson of the Higher Education Committee at the Center.
  • Mr. Ali Mohammed Salman Adouh, Attorney-at-Law – Chairperson of the Human Rights Committee at the Center.
  • Mr. Abbas Fadhil Hadi Jawad Al-Waeli, Attorney-at-Law – Member of the Human Rights Committee at the Center.

During the visit, the delegation met with a number of university officials, and discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in the fields of human rights and higher education. The importance of the academic role in promoting the values of justice, citizenship, and human rights within society was also emphasized.

The delegation praised the academic organization and development witnessed at the University of Kufa, reaffirming the Center’s commitment to continuing its field visits to monitor educational and healthcare institutions and document efforts that contribute to building an environment that respects human dignity and supports sustainable development.
